Beautiful but runs small

"Love the color and the quality is great. But these run really small. I’ve only ever bought size small in bottoms from this brand, but I had to get a large in these. Even when I adjusted them as loose as they would go in the size small, they were cutting into my sides very noticeably and were giving me a muffin top. The medium didn’t cut into my sides as much, but it was still happening a little, so I landed on the large. These are also pretty low rise if you don’t size up, so keep that in mind. Sizing up allowed me to pull them up over my pooch in the front"
