Stem to the Future

The mission of STTF is to inspire and motivate Black and Latinx youth to be creative critical thinkers who use STEAM to develop solutions to real world problems such as climate change, public safety, and poverty. Youth develop creativity, problem solving, and collaboration skills as they see how a variety of STEAM pathways can be used to create the future they deserve.

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF)

Founded in 1940, the Legal Defense Fund (LDF) is America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. Using the power of law, narrative, research, and people, LDF defends and advances the full dignity and citizenship of Black people in America.

Girl Up

Girl Up is a girl-centered leadership development initiative working to advance gender justice worldwide. We believe that when girls and women are in positions of leadership, they work to create a more just and equitable world for everyone. Founded by the United Nations Foundation in 2010, Girl Up operates a global network of regional affiliates and serves 150,000 girls in 130 countries.

Born This Way Foundation

Co-founded and led by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, BTWF supports the mental health of young people and works with them to create a kinder and braver world. Through high impact programming, youth led conversations and strategic, cross-sectoral partnerships, the Foundation aims to make kindness cool, validate the emotions of young people, and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health.

We commit to evolving pacsun into anti-racism organizations that actively fights against inequality and injustice through continuous learning, assesement, and action. Workforce Diversification

Engage in practices that attract, recruit, promote and develop diverse talent.

Brand Projection

Evolve our brand projection to be a more inclusive representation of youth culture by hiring diverse (specifically black and brown) talent, models, and influencers.

Support Of Black-Owned Businesses

Actively seek out and partner with black-and minority-owned businesses and brands.

Activism

Use our platfrom, funds, and corporate voice to actively participate in the national fight against social and racial justices.

Letter From Our Executive Chief Officer


Dear PacSun Family,


As racist attacks continue against the AAPI community, as the Black Lives Matter movement continues to strive for meaningful change, and as there is still much to be done about the humanitarian crisis at our nation’s border, we’re reminded why the words we choose, our beliefs, and acts of positive change are so important. PacSun's mission has always been to stand for youth culture and a lifestyle that represents an inspired community, but we also recognize that it’s our responsibility as humans to use our platform to speak up, take action, and drive change.


While the changes needed cannot be achieved overnight, we’re committed to doing our part for the long haul. To start, PacSun has made donations to the following organizations, and we encourage our community to visit these sites to learn more:


    AAPI - One of the several fundraisers GoFundMe has verified that will help support and protect individuals, families, and businesses in the AAPI community.
    Black Lives Matter – A global network working to bring justice, healing, and freedom to Black people around the world.
    Color of Change - The nation’s largest online racial justice organization leading campaigns that build real power for Black communities.


We also commit to bringing you consistent updates on our continued efforts across our entire business: from our employees to the brands we partner with and how we represent our brand to the world.


PacSun stands with all marginalized communities and will continue to fight against racism, xenophobia, and acts fueled by hate and ignorance.
